Go Wild on Wight

Over the next few years OPAL will run five surveys across England to learn more about our environment, and they'd like everyone get involved!

The Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) network is an exciting new initiative that is open to anyone with an interest in nature.

Air is the next survey starting in September and you can join in now with surveying lichens which are an important indicator of air quality. After this you can help them explore the health of our lakes, changes in biodiversity and the impact of climate change.

Get involved today by visiting www.opalexplorenature.org. All ages and abilities can take part and your contribution will be important in helping scientists build up a picture of the UK's natural environment.

They'll provide easy to follow survey instructions and all the support you need.
